BMW-owned MINI recently launched the Cooper S Convertible in India as a fully imported CBU unit. The car was launched on December 12, 2025, and within 24 hours, the initial batch was completely sold out.
This clearly highlights the strength of the Indian car market and the excitement of the Indian consumers for MINI’s convertible car.
MINI Cooper S Convertible Key Highlights

The MINI Convertible is based on the Cooper, with the biggest difference being its open-top design. It features a minimalist exterior, signature round LED headlamps with cornering lights, new triangular LED tail-lamps, welcome and goodbye lighting, up to 18-inch alloy wheels, and a 3-in-1 soft-top roof that can be opened even while driving at speeds of up to 30 km/h.
Inside, the cabin is completely leather-free and made using sustainable materials. It gets a Vescin steering wheel that offers good grip and enhances the sporty appeal. Additional features include a Head-Up Display (HUD), a 240 mm circular OLED display that functions as both the infotainment system and instrument cluster, a recycled polyester dashboard, a Harman Kardon premium sound system, a toggle bar for controls, and multiple cabin lighting options.
The MINI Convertible is powered by a 2.0L, 4-cylinder, TwinPower Turbo engine, which produces 204 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of up to 237 km/h.
The car is a four-seater and also offers a practical boot space of 215 litres. The MINI Cooper S Convertible car was priced at ₹58.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which is higher than both the MINI Cooper hatchback and the MINI Countryman Electric.
When is the Next arrival?
With the initial batch sold out, MINI has now opened bookings for the next batch, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2026. The brand is also planning to launch the all-electric MINI Aceman in India next year.
